Some see, few know, many choose to wander aimlessly in a fog, devoid of sunlight. I seek the light of day and leave the others to their chosen realm of ignorance. They are the ones who have brought this great nation down. I write only for the benefit of those who possess the courage required to restore our birthright.

What Abraham Lincoln said about a house divided is every bit as true today as it was then, perhaps even more so. When he gave that speech in 1858 he was referring to slave states and free states, knowing that a nation could not continue to exist, part slave and part free. Today the specter of slavery once again raises its ugly head, but this time it takes the form of Marxism, heralding the 'common good'. Any who have read history knows to what the common good leads; Soviet Russia, Communist China, Castro's Cuba, and North Korea; all shining examples of collectivism and rule by the elite.

Equality! What a fine and noble word; an ideal to reach for, and one on which to build great nations. But it is just a word, and like all words, it can be abused, and its meaning altered and redefined to meet a political agenda.

Democracy is another such word. It bespeaks equality, justice, and freedom, but when democracy becomes fragmented, declaring that some are more equal than others, that immigrant rights exceeds the rights of citizens, and that the concept of culture has become obsolete, then democracy has outlived its usefulness.

Many people today are convinced that Karl Marx invented the idea of socialism. Not so! In 1848 Alexis de Tocqueville gave a speech on socialism and said the following:
"Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom, socialism restricts it. Democracy attaches all possible value to each man; socialism makes each man a mere agent, a mere number. Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word; equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude."

Oddly enough, socialism was the offspring of the industrial revolution. For the first time in history, thanks to the invention of the steam engine, vast wealth could be produced by the industrious. No longer was wealth restricted only to royalty. The buzz words of the French Revolution were Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity, and it was there in the bloody streets of Paris that socialism sprang into existence, and has haunted us ever since.

Today liberty is a dying concept, equality has come to mean that all should share equally in the wealth of a nation, and fraternity has declared us all to be our brother's keeper. Unfortunately the seeds of socialism have taken root across Europe as well as the U.S. and with every generation less educated than the one before, combating this plague of 'idealism' by the left has become an impossible dream.

Fueling that agenda is a group of the elite, totally unconcerned with liberty, equality, and fraternity, as they are no more than talking points in their quest for unbridled power over their fellow man.

Pondering the requirements for a nation to want communism I have concluded that there are but three necessities; ignorance, greed, and poverty. First and foremost, ignorance of the true nature of communism is required. Listed below in Suggested Reading are three essays that I wrote about Americans wanting communism. Were all citizens of this nation aware of the contents of those essays, none would be in a hurry to hoist a red flag.

Second on the list of necessities is greed. Socialism and communism both rely on the inherent fact that most human beings are greedy to one extent or the other. The proponents of socialism rely on this human trait as they advocate wealth redistribution, sharing if you will, and their appeal is always directed to the lower class, who hope to 'share' in the wealth of those who have more than they.

Needless to say, the more poor people there are, the stronger grows the movement, and that leads to the need to create evermore poverty. We are watching this take place as jobs become scarce and the welfare rolls grows proportionally.

UCLA is famous for its liberal policies and teaching, but in a rare burst of honesty their experts on economics revealed an undeniable truth:

This from UCLA...
FDR's policies prolonged Depression by 7 years UCLA economist calculate
"Why the Great Depression lasted so long has always been a great mystery and because we never really knew the reason, we have always worried whether we would have another 10- to 15-year economic slump," said Ohanian, vice chair of UCLA's Department of Economics. "We found that a relapse isn't likely unless lawmakers gum up a recovery with ill-conceived stimulus policies."

Sound familiar?

FDR intentionally put us onto that Road to Serfdom that F.A. Hayak warned about. The only thing that prevented him from creating another communist utopia was the advent of WWII, and the necessity of resurrecting our economy to win that awful war.

Today, Hussein Obama, via the George Soros agenda, armed with the knowledge of Roosevelt's efforts, the polices of Cloward and Piven, and the tactics of Saul Alinsky, seems to be on the verge of bringing FDR's dreams into fruition.

Much credit must also be given to Obama's predecessors. LBJ, hardcore racist that we was, saw winning the black vote from the Republican Party as a step in the right direction with his "Great Society' initiative that helped to add many miles on that road to serfdom. Jimmy Carter certainly did his share by weakening our economy still more, and by destabilizing the Middle East, when he engineered the overthrow of the Shah of Iran, thus allowing the Mullahs of Iran to gain power.

The communist leaders who gained control of Russia had a great advantage over their equally ambitious counterparts of today. The overwhelming bulk of the Russian citizenry were poor peasants feeling they had nothing to lose. Bringing communism to America was a much more challenging endeavor, as the bulk of our people lived lives that were far more comfortable than any other nation in the world. Preparing them for a communist takeover took planning, deception, effort, and a time consuming indoctrination; and never forget the need for poverty.

Was the economic crash of 2008 on the verge of that Presidential election a pure coincidence, or was it triggered? As the UCLA professors stated: "We found that a relapse isn't likely unless lawmakers gum up a recovery with ill-conceived stimulus policies." In the ugly world of politics I am always skeptical of coincidence, leading me to believe that we are being played like puppets.

Now we hear that the 'recession' is over and new jobs are being created. Our illustrious leaders are also quick to point out the benefits of not working and depending on government handouts.

This from CNS...
Schumer: "What CBO Said is That Many Americans Would Have Freedom"
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) suggested on Sunday that freedom means not working if you don't want to.
Asked about a Congressional Budget Office report that said several million Americans will drop out of the workforce in coming years to take advantage of Obamacare subsidies, Schumer gave his own interpretation of that report.
"Bottom line is very simple," he told NBC's "Meet the Press", "What CBO said is that many American workers would have freedom. Now that is a good word, freedom to do things they couldn't do."

More on that report:
This from The Washington Post...
Health-care law will prompt over 2 million to quit jobs or cut hours, a CBO report says
More that 2 million Americans who would otherwise rely on a job for health insurance will quit working, reduce their hours or stop looking for employment because new health benefits available under the Affordable Care Act, congressional budget analysts said Tuesday.

But knocking people out of work and giving them reason not to work is still not enough to encourage Americans to embrace communism. The effort requires still more 'stimulus'; and that is where illegal immigration and amnesty come in.

A picture that I have used several times as nothing better illustrates what is crossing our southern border to vote for the Democratic Party:

And the infiltration does not stop there...

This from Front Page Magazine...
Jihad Migrating to Red States -- With Obama's Blessing
President Obama has unilaterally changed the immigration law to allow asylum seekers and refugees who provided "limited material support" to terrorists to immigrate to the US.
What is also strange is the US State Department is not welcoming fleeing Christians in the Middle East as they should.

Front Page Mag also points out the fact that many suspect Obama of having secret ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and that this will further enhance their belief ... And Obama is unconcerned. He is now totally confident of victory and could care less what anyone believes.

Yes this house is divided and grows more so every day. Our forefathers would have taken up arms and marched on Washington long before now, but we are not our forefathers. We are the most apathetic and manipulated Americans in history, passively hoping that someone will make things right for us. My friends, it is not going to happen. The ball is in our court and we do nothing but complain.

Today's Americans remind me of a person who knows that he should go to the dentist but keeps putting it off, not wanting to deal with the pain, and so he allows the problem to worsen. Anyone with half a brain knows that the only thing that can deal with a government seeking absolute power is a people willing to fight, and if need be, die in defense of their liberty. But as I said we are not our forefathers. We tarry; we hope; we pray; and we wait for another rigged election.

By now any American willing to think realizes that if we begin to act like the patriots we claim to be, then Obama will behave like the despot we know him to be. If that day ever comes, the streets of what was once the Home of the Brave, will flow with the blood of those who choose death before slavery, because Obama does not plan to step down.

I shall close this discourse with a thought from Edmond Burke:
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
