At the end of 'Benghazi Reveal Part One' we learned that security for the Benghazi mission was provided by the February 17th Martyrs Brigade, affiliates of Ansar al-Sharia. The following exchange between Representative Patrick Meehan and Regional Security Officer(RSO) Eric Nordstrom, is excerpted from the May 8, 2013 testimony before the House Committee On Government Oversight and Reform:
Rep. Meehan: "Did you have confidence in the ability of the locals in the country who were purportedly designed to provide security for you? Did you have confidence in their ability to provide that?"
Eric Nordstrom: "I think, to put it succinctly, it was the best bad plan. It was the only thing we had. "
Rep. Meehan: "Did you have confidence in that?"
Eric Nordstrom: "No. "
Rep. Meehan: "Did you report that, at any point in time, to officials in Washington, DC?"
Eric Nordstrom: "We did. We did note the training deficiencies in particular. That was something that was always there. Certainly we had also raised the issue of doing some sort of counter-intelligence vetting of the people that worked for us. Ultimately that was turned down, even though we wanted it."
Moving briefly off topic for context: I have nothing good to say about FDR's Progressive Presidency except to state that he knew how to fight a war. He left the decisions to those leaders on the front lines. Obama and Hillary Clinton lack such wisdom, and their micro management has led directly to the deaths of Americans.
One of the many failing of Barrack Obama is his desire to cast Islam in the best possible light, and that effort leads us to the policy of 'Normalization'. In a letter to Obama, Rep. Darryl Issa discusses this policy. Excerpt:
"We have been told repeatedly that the administration did this to effectuate a policy of 'Normalization" in Libya after the conclusion of its civil war. These actions not only resulted in extreme vulnerability, but also undermined Ambassador Stevens and the diplomatic mission."
Many Democrats, coming to the aid of their leader, have put forth the idea that adequate security was denied in Benghazi due to budgetary constraints. This article from Townhall tells us otherwise as they refer to a statement from Darryl Issa.
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) says the State Department is sitting on $2.2 billion that should be spent on upgrading security at U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide, but the Obama administration will not spend the funds.
While on the topic of Darryl Issa:

Benghazi Creeps Closer To Hillary Clinton
An indication that the Orwellian-named Accountability Review Board (ARB) investigating the terrorist attack on our diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, was an effort not to assign responsibility for the disaster but to enable those responsible to escape blame is the fact that ARB never bothered to interview the likes of Undersecretary of State Patrick Kennedy.
And now the plot really begins to thicken.

Adm. James Lyon (Ret.) on Growing Benghazi Scandal
ADMIRAL LYONS: Not in the least: You’re still getting the smokescreen. I must say that, quote, “Independent” Accountability Review Board, from my perspective, was like having the Mafia investigate a crime scene.
ARONOFF: Okay. Explain why. That was the one headed by Pickering, Thomas Pickering—
ADMIRAL LYONS: Pickering and—[Admiral Mike] Mullen. Pickering, he’s the chairman of the International Crisis Group—which is a Soros-funded group. Plus, with his long career in the State Department, I wouldn’t consider that to be foremost in getting an independent review. What really needs to happen here—and you could see it yesterday in the testimony of Secretary Clinton—you’re never going to get the true story until you appoint a Special Prosecutor, pull in, put the people under oath to find out what actually went on.
It seems that no matter where I look in the strife of the Middle East, whether it is in Benghazi, Syria, Egypt, or Gaza, I find George Soros, busy with his agenda. I have written extensively about his involvement in his fomenting the entire 'Arab Spring'. Most of the media manage to keep his name out of involvement.
In the past I have been somewhat critical of those who blog about Benghazi for two reasons: Most of what they write is so boringly redundant and most of it is also pure nonsense. So very many of them write that Obama allowed the Ambassador to die to cover up the fact that he was 'gunrunning'. Of course he was! The Benghazi disaster occurred September 11, 2012 and there was no need to conceal Obama's gunrunning, but as with today's events in the Middle East, Americans were and are simply not paying attention.
President Obama Authorizes Covert Help For Libyan Rebels ... March 30, 2011
This fact was widely known among the news agencies.

Obama Authorizes Secret U.S. Support For Syrian Rebels ... Aug 1, 2012
The August date is not when the order was signed:
Obama's order, approved earlier this year and known as an intelligence "finding," broadly permits the CIA and other U.S. agencies to provide support that could help the rebels oust Assad.
And so it was well known that Obama was indeed aiding Al Qaeda, wherever they might reside. There was no need to allow the Ambassador to die to conceal a widely accepted fact. The fact that Christopher Stevens was intentionally hung out to dry did not spring from any effort to conceal gunrunning to Syria.

Why Was Security Stripped In Benghazi? ... October 30, 2012
Data points continue to accumulate about the September 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya. The picture that is beginning to emerge from connecting those dots is deeply concerning on multiple levels. Two related issues dominate this analysis: The stripping of security protection from the Benghazi mission prior to the 9/11 anniversary attack and the refusal to send or even permit local help on the night of the attack.
President Barack Obama signed an intelligence finding sometime in early 2012 that authorized U.S. support for the Syrian rebels and by mid-June 2012, CIA operatives reportedly were on the Turkish-Syrian border helping to steer weapons deliveries to selected Syrian rebel groups. According to an Oct. 14, 2012 New York Times article, most of those arms were going to “hard-line Islamic jihadists.”

C.I.A. Said To Aid In Steering Arms To Syrian Opposition ... June 21, 2012
To this day the Syria connection still receives much speculation from even the most reliable sources, primarily because none have eliminated it, in spite of the evidence, and looked elsewhere. The following is from the Clarion Project and the primary reason that I include it here is the information about one of the members of Ansar al-Shariah and the fact that he was once detained in Gitmo and released to continue his terrorist activities.
From The Clarion Project...
Arms Flow To Syria May Be Behind Benghazi Cover-up
The Derna, Libya Ansar al-Shariah cell is led by a former GITMO detainee named Sufian Ben Qhumu. The September 11, 2012 attack on the Benghazi consulate compound that killed Ambassador Stevens, his staffer Sean Smith and the two Navy SEALs was directed and led by Ansar al-Shariah.
The best working knowledge that we have today indicate that 35 C.I.A. operatives were in Benghazi the night it was attacked. Now we find that they are being polygraphed on a regular basis to make certain they reveal nothing. We know that the Ambassador was in Libya to collect the weapons that we provided to Al Qaeda as well as the weapons stockpile accumulated by Qaddafi. We also know that those weapons were in turn being forwarded to Syria. So what secrets remain? More on that in later essays.

CIA Is Polygraphing Benghazi Witnesses To Keep Them Quiet ... August 1, 2013
Prior to 2009, the CIA did not belong to any political party. Now, if this report is accurate, it’s looking like it has become an arm of Organizing for Action.
