Some see, few know, many choose to wander aimlessly in a fog, devoid of sunlight. I seek the light of day and leave the others to their chosen realm of ignorance. They are the ones who have brought this great nation down. I write only for the benefit of those who possess the courage required to restore our birthright.

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO SOROS PART TWO

To understand George Soros you must try to understand the mentality of Michael Jackson who tried to become white, the transvestite who hates the fact that he was born a man, and any other human being who quite simply despises their own birthright. To spend your every waking moment hating what you are, must and will, take a terrible toll on your mental well being.

DO YOUR RESEARCH

Earlier today a Facebook friend posted a video of Allen West being grilled by a few liberal reporters. He took the grilling quite well and turned them into toast. Being the polite gentleman that he is, Colonel West did not call either of them an idiot, but proceeded to prove that they were. He simply told them to do their research, and then proved to the nation that he had done his. The topic under debate was his statement that there are a great many communists in Congress operating under the banner of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. The initial question was did he have any regrets about his original statement. His answer was no, and then he proved his point, based on his own research, and without the aid of a teleprompter. I love it when these liberals attack him because without fail he shreds them and they succeed only in giving him an opportunity to make his point. Such people should never try to belittle their intellectual superiors.

REAPING THE WHIRLWIND

The free online dictionary defines 'Apathy' as: "Lack of interest or concern, especially regarding matters of general importance or appeal; indifference." I am more inclined to define it as "A people or society that has lost its moral compass", for that is what I see around me. Of many, I cannot even say that they have gone bad, only that they have lost the will to go at all. Their own self interests are all that matter, and the less effort required to maintain those interests, the better.

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO SOROS PART ONE

One of my readers left the following comment to my essay In A World Gone Mad-Part One:

"It's always hard to know why so many people will go to hoax sites and believe absurd stories, without any credible proof, and yet a serious site with ample proof is called by the same people 'a conspiracy theory site'.
It must just be easier to believe something fantastical rather than the cold hard truth. A made up story can be ignored most of the day, while a cold hard truth could mean having to do something. And so it seems escapism has triumphed over fact.
When I look at the hard work that goes into bringing facts to the public, which the public then ignores, I have trouble understanding why anyone would bother."

SONG FOR LIBERTY

Typically I write two or three essays a week. Lately it has been two a day, and I am tired, and fearful, but not disheartened. In such times I know where to go to rejuvenate my soul, and that is to the inspirational words of poets and those who put such words to music. It is there that I find the strength to continue this fight against overwhelming odds and the depraved apathy that has gained such a foothold in this nation that I love so very much.

THE AMERICAN SPRING - CAUTION

Lately I have been seeing the adjoining image a great deal on the internet and to be perfectly honest I paid it little attention. I spend most of my time writing and reading reliable news sources and skip most everything else, other than noting comments from friends. Perhaps it is but a trifle but that image does not fit into my conception of patriotic America, even when superimposed with the Stars and Stripes. A clenched fist has long been the image of anarchy and blunt force, hardly the American way. However, as said, that may be but a trifle, but a friend that I hold in high regard mentioned The American Spring favorably, leading me to further investigate the phenomenon, and quite frankly, I do not like what I have found.

THE GREAT AMERICAN PROTEST

More and more I find my writing influenced by the thoughts of my readers. This effort will be no exception.

We all witnessed the great Tea Party protests at the nation's capitol, the Lincoln Monument, and the Alamo. and all of these events bore witness to the patriotic spirit still alive in many of our American citizens. Sadly those events did nothing to change the course of this nation, with one exception. The unity expressed there emboldened many and due to the efforts of the Tea Party members, we were able to retake the House from the DNC, only to be rewarded for our efforts by a swift kick in the teeth by the GOP. But even that kick was a learning experience, for with it the Progressive agenda of the Republican establishment began to unravel.

TAHRIR SQUARE U.S.A.

H.L. Mencken once wrote: "The writing profession is reeking with this loneliness. All our lives we spend in discoursing with ourselves. The loneliest people in the world we writers are." I must respectfully disagree with Mr. Mencken. While writing is a solitary pursuit, it is never lonely, at least not when one elects to write on the internet. Daily I encounter the thoughts of some of the greatest political commentators this nation has to offer. The views they express and the facts they offer, then merge with my own perspectives and become a new essay, soon published and often commented on within a very brief period. I anger some, frustrate others, frighten a few, and hopefully enlighten some who possess the courage to seek answers to our shared problem. Never lonely.

WORLD GOVERNMENT - A REALITY

Were the situation not so very grim I have no doubt that I would be laughing hysterically. Surely you recall the antics of Lucy, Lou Costello, and Barney Fife and the laughter they invoked as they did thing so incomprehensibly stupid that you could not help but laugh. Stupidity and laughter just seem to go hand in hand, but only when said stupidity does not lead to a tragic ending. Perhaps that is why I am not laughing today, for I do see a tragic outcome.

OF MORAL LEADERS AND SLEEPER CELLS IN THE GOP

My most recent essay discussed the topic of an endangered species; that being 'honest politicians'. Many would argue that the words 'honest' and 'politician' should never appear in the same sentence, and with most who enter the world of politics, I would be inclined to agree, with rare exception. All who venture into that world do so in a quest for power, and there is no getting around that basic reality. Power, therefore, should perhaps be the basis for understanding those who are led into the realm of the politically motivated.

SEARCHING FOR AN HONEST POLITICIAN

In ancient Greece there once lived a man named Diogenes. He was known to be eccentric, rude, witty, and distrustful of authority. I would add one of two traits to that description; that man was either very foolhardy, or very brave, for he even chose to be rude to Alexander the Great. Well, Alexander took that behavior in stride for he had nothing but the highest regard for Diogenes as this rude eccentric had a most unusual habit. Wherever he went, day or night, he always carried a lantern, in search of an honest man. Oh, he should walk the streets of our nation's capitol today; a fruitless walk to be certain but good exercise nonetheless, unless of course he gets mugged, or becomes a victim of the 'Knockout Game'.

A READER'S FEEDBACK Submitted by Janette Scarborough

Anyone who writes periodically suffers from what is commonly called 'Writer's Block' when you just can't seem to put your words together. The problem is always temporary and more often than not, it is the views of a reader that snaps me out of my reverie, launches me on a new train of thought, and sends me back to my keyboard. One such person is Janette Scarborough, and as an expression of my gratitude I dedicated a recent essay to her for thoughts she expressed in a comment.

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE ENEMIES OF FREEDOM

Over forty years ago a dear friend, twice my age, told me that I had a lot to learn and that I would learn ... The hard way. He was a wise man to be certain. It was nearly five years ago when I began writing on the internet, and did I ever have a lot to learn; just like Bernie said ... the hard way.

I was so convinced that I could help to wake up the apathetic people of this nation simply by discovering exactly what is going on and showing them, in detail, the danger that we as a people face. I was mistaken. Apathy is a terminal disease, and so very many suffer its ravages. That is where I must show a certain degree of admiration for you, my enemies, for none could ever say that you are apathetic. You are willing to fight tooth and nail, to conquer, enslave, and drive into poverty, those who have built a great nation.

IN A WORLD GONE MAD PART TEN, A HOUSE DIVIDED

What Abraham Lincoln said about a house divided is every bit as true today as it was then, perhaps even more so. When he gave that speech in 1858 he was referring to slave states and free states, knowing that a nation could not continue to exist, part slave and part free. Today the specter of slavery once again raises its ugly head, but this time it takes the form of Marxism, heralding the 'common good'. Any who have read history knows to what the common good leads; Soviet Russia, Communist China, Castro's Cuba, and North Korea; all shining examples of collectivism and rule by the elite.

THE STATE OF OUR UNIONS Submitted by Paul Collings

In a week when President Obama has given his State of the Union address, a speech delivered with such grandiosity, and received in a sea of apathy,  you can be forgiven for thinking this post is about that. Although it would be true to say I will be referring to the American union in general, the Unions I want to speak about those of the United Kingdom and Europe.

News is reaching me that the house of Lords, has voted down a bill that would have given the UK a referendum on its membership of the European union. A bit like Texas voting to leave the United States.

It was Prime Minister Cameron who gave a guarantee, that the people of Britain would get a referendum on our membership. The guarantee being a 'politician's guarantee', was one that would rely on many other things, like Europe not being willing to renegotiate some of the treaties or refusing to repatriate some powers back to Britain's Parliament.

IN A WORLD GONE MAD PART NINE THE ASSAULT ON MORALITY

The people of this once great nation, and for that matter, all of the people of what we refer to as Western civilization, are suffering under a sustained attack on their liberties by the forces of Progressivism. Many. if not most, of those people choose to disregard or, at the very least, elect to minimize the danger we face, always hoping for better results from the next election and/or divine intervention. The farce that we think of as the 2012 election only proved that voting machines can be rigged, and I am inclined to agree with that old adage that God does for those who do for themselves. My views now expressed, let us launch onto the very purpose of this essay.

THOUGHTS ON THE SOROS AGENDA

Dedicated to Janette Scarborough with much gratitude for her thoughts.

Oh those readers; what would I do without them? For they push me beyond established limits and lead me to think; but then, is that not the very purpose of a philosopher's life?

Responding to the thoughts of one of those dear reader's comments to an article in a series of essays that I have been working on, now leads me to leave that series, momentarily, and embark on a quest for answers, for she has touched upon the very foundations, the weaknesses, of human nature. I have no choice but to go there with her.

ISLAM AND DAVID CAMERON Submitted by Paul Austin Murphy UK

My recent essay In A World Gone Mad Part Four The UK, stirred up a debate with some of my colleagues in England. One in particular, Paul Austin Murphy, chose to write a slightly different view which has since been published in American Thinker.

So many Americans choose to believe that Obama is the cause of all of our problems. I disagree. He is but a symptom of a changing world, changes that are being wrought by the Progressive movement that is sweeping the globe. For us to understand what is taking place we must widen our view and encompass the thoughts of our cousins in the UK and Europe. As you read the following, note if you will, the closing thought, and apply 'Obama' where the author mentions David Cameron. Please welcome Paul Austin Murphy.
